Black Philanthropy Initiative Announces Updated Grant Cycle

The Black Philanthropy Initiative is updating its grant process beginning this year. Moving forward, BPI’s Building an Inclusive Economy and Advancing Equity in Education grants will be offered through one combined annual grant cycle rather than two separate cycles.

Applications for the 2026 grant cycle will open March 30 and close May 4. The application process will remain the same, and nonprofit organizations serving Forsyth County are encouraged to apply.

BPI’s Building an Inclusive Economy grants support organizations working to strengthen economic mobility and opportunity for Black residents in Forsyth County. This includes initiatives that help individuals access family-sustaining careers, build financial stability, and support the growth of Black-owned businesses.

Through its Advancing Equity in Education grants, BPI supports programs that address disparities in education and expand opportunities for students, particularly Black students, to succeed in school and beyond.

To help organizations learn more about the funding priorities and application process, BPI will host virtual information sessions on April 14 and April 16.
